Ok I must say coming into the hotel there was nobody at the front desk, but there’s a piece of paper by a telephone that tells you to call this number if you need help. But as soon as I said, hello, a man walked out from the back who worked there that was doing another part of his job. He got me checked in in a matter of seconds very professional. The room was very nice. Beds were clean. Bathrooms are clean. The room was a little stale, so turned on the AC and turned the hot water on the shower to get steamy that fixed the problem right away. The pool and hot tub are nice and clean. The workout room is also nice and clean. The hotel is in the middle of a busy area, but also not out in the open. I’m from a small country town so coming out of the hotel and not being where cars are all everywhere was a nice feeling. Was here on a business trip. If I ever need to come up here again, I’ll be staying at this hotel every time. If you are reading this review and have read everybody else’s bull crap review. This one is completely honesty. Don’t listen to those people. They are either very lazy or very selfish. Have a blessed day yall
Definitely a new owner and really trying to redo the place. It was a comfortable stay. The bed was ok and pillows were good. Love the little coffee, fridge, microwave set up. There was a ceiling fan which I was super thankful for. Fireplace electric heater on the wall. Very small breakfast bar but for a small hotel good. Nothing was omg amazing but nothing omd bad! You get what you pay for and would stay there again
Absolutely spotless, comfortable and clean. I'm glad I didn't see the reviews before staying here. Apparently they have cleaned up or have new owners. Breakfast was great, (biscuits and gravy was the reason I booked in the first place), pancakes, cereals, and even twinges. Pool area was clean. Price was comparable. 10/10 would stay here again.
Brenda at the front desk was exceptional! Jessica was also! Thank you so much! The pool and hot tub were maintained at an above-average rate. The rooms were nice. I only had a problem with the bathtub not being cleaned properly (hair leftover from previous stay and dirt in the small crevasses) but a quick wipedown was simple to rectify the situation. The breakfast was pretty decent with pancakes, biscuits and gravy, bagels l, coffee, juice, bananas, apples, cereal, milk, muffins, danishes, pastries, donuts, and the only thing missing was an egg dish. I enjoyed the ease of using guest laundry ($1.50 per wash and dry). There is a vending machine with drinks and one with snacks. A well-maintained aquarium sits in a nice lobby with a fireplace. The Baymont uses Wyndham Rewards and sits in the business district of Fort Dodge, so the location is ideal for travelers and tourists. I would return to this hotel for the price of my stay and the accommodations.
Pool was shallow (4ft) and small but still nice. Had a hot tub off to the side of it too. Wide variety of breakfast stuff and fresh. Liked everything about it.
Close to all restaurants and shopping and rooms were clean and comfortable! We didn't swim but the pool looked clean. Front desk attendant had no personality but that was the only negative.
The staff of the Baymont is great - friendly and helpful! The hotel is within walking distance of lots of restaurants and a grocery store. Our room was clean, although the bathtub could use a little updating. Good choice for the price.
